Façade systems: Unitised curtain wall.

Curtain wall fabricated and assembled in the factory in form of Panels are used in unitized construction. Typically one glazing bay in
width and one or two storeys high the units are installed.
The unitized construction can accommodation more movement in the façade as each panel moves on its own with the substructure depending on the fixing design.

The panels may have male female mullions either side and a stack joint top and bottom for system joinery on site. Units are usually lift on site using a crane into position.
As these are manufactured and assembled in the factory, there can be a much better control on the quality.
